Film - Collaboration & Current Project[s] - June, 2012
In 2011, I began collaborating with Illinois filmmaker, Mark Dial. Since then, we have been working on a film triptych, or collection of three short films that explore notions of memory, identity, and place. The first and third films of the triptych, "Within Houses" & "Nothing Healer," written/directed by myself and produced by Mark, address nuances of authorship, production, and story. Mark is the documentarian of the second film of the triptych which works against authorship to operate as a moving document steeped in place and memory. Filming has completed on Within Houses and Nothing Healer while other production continues. Post-production will (hopefully) begin by January of 2013, followed by screenings. Screening dates and locations will be posted as they become known. |
