Green Bay Street Studio, LLC is a community needs based studio and educational facility for printmaking, studio painting, and figure drawing in the La Crosse region. Started by six University of La-Crosse alumni, the studio evolved out of a community need for printmaking and painting facilities for working artists.

The philosophy of the Green Bay Street Studio is that it will operate as a traditional atelier or studio where artists will work together, share common materials and spaces, and give each other valuable support and constructive feedback through discussion and critiques. In addition, the studio will support a community need for classes and workshops associated with printmaking, painting, and drawing.

Artists working at the Green Bay Street Studio have the opportunity to exhibit work collectively throughout the local community and through studio events. During exhibitions and studio events artist-members are allowed to sell work, guaranteeing the studio twenty-percent [commission] of the sale. Financially, operation of the studio is sustained through membership fees, commissions, and donations; which satisfy costs for rent, common supplies [inks, papers, mordant, etc], heat/electricity, and miscellaneous costs associated for operation.

The studio will be open for membership beginning in June, 2008. Membership will be established accordingly through membership registration and the part-time or full-time needs of the artist. Contact studio members more information or to apply for membership.
